#1 Seattle Garfield

(1-8-18) The first week of 2018 sees two teams leaving the SSN National Public High School  Boys Basketball Top 10 and two joining it for the first time.

#6 Memphis East, lost two games this past weekend at the Penny Hardaway Hoopfest, Chicago Simeon 78-73 and Olive Branch (Miss) 73-70, the Mustangs now have three losses on the season.

#4 Garfield Heights

#4 Garfield Heights was upset on Sunday by Brush 63-60, the Arcs trailed in the first half by 14 points at one time before making their comeback for the win and knocking the Bulldogs out of the Top 10.

Upson-Lee and Las Cruces are the new entries for this week entering at #9 and #10. Las Cruces is the first school in the SSN history to have both the girls and boys basketball teams in the Top 10 during the the same week

Garfield continues to hold down the #1 spot for the second week in a row, Shadow Mountain is steady at #2 and Rock Canyon stays at #3.

Iowa City West moves up one spot to #4, the Trojans beat Wahlert Catholic for their 79th straight home win, their last loss was a 65-46 to Cedar Falls on December 10 of 2010.

#6 South Bend Riley

Moving up two spots in the rankings were the remaining members of the Top 10, Oshkosh North, South Bend Riley, Warren Central and Denton Guyer.
