(2-5-18) -As the regular season winds down and tournament season lies ahead we still continue to see teams upset.
This past week two of the Top 10 in the SSN National Public HS Boys Basketball Rankings took some very lopsided losses. The first to lose was last week’s #2 Rock Canyon who was handled by Chaparral 73-56 for their first loss of the year. Hazel Park had a rude awakening when they lost to former SSN #1 Clarkston 70-39. With the losses both teams dropped out of the Top 10.
Plymouth Whitemarsh

The changes allows several teams to move up including South Bend Riley who is now #2, followed by Warren Central, Denton Guyer, Shadow Mountain, Upson-Lee, Las Cruces and Playmouth Whitemarsh. Anyone of these teams are capable of moving up as tournament time hits.

Clarkston, a former #1, moves back into the Top 10 with a 70-39 win over last week’s #10 Hazel Park 70-39. It was a big week for Michigan State commit Foster Loyer who entered the 2,000 point club. Clarkston has overcome some highly controversial transfer issues to continue to play well.
Joining Clarkston for the first time in the Top 10 is Olympus, not known as a national power by many, but the Titans are putting together an impressive season.
