(2-26-18) Two teams drop out of this week’s SSN National Public HS Boys Basketball Rankings and two survive close call wins, but drop a spot this week.
#1 South Bend Riley continues to hold down the top spot for the second week in a row. The Wildcats end the regular season at 22-0 and start IHSAA playoffs this week.
#2 Upson-Lee continues to roll and continues to impress and remains one spot away from the top spot.

Shadow Mountain had a close call win overcoming a 22-point deficit late in the game to beat Salpointe Catholic 83-79 in the Arizona 4A State Championship game.
Plymouth Whitemarsh and Clarkston move up one spot each to #4 and #5, they both pick up the spot after Las Cruces lost to Hobbs 72-67 in New Mexico District Tournament action.
Making the biggest jump this week is Olympus they move from #9 to #6, they leap frog over Denton Guyer and Warren Central after they both survive close call wins, but both remain in the rankings at #7 and #8.
Rayville joins the Top 10 for the first time this year at #9, the Hornets have been impressive this year and won a Louisiana playoff game this week beating Beekman Charter 102-25. Overlooked by many, it’s time people start to hear about them on the national level.

#10 this week is Northside (Jacksonville, NC) who picked up a 73-33 win Saturday over Terry Sanford in the third round of the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs. The Monarchs, another team overlooked on the national scene, makes their first appearance in the SSN Top 10. Last week’s #10 Solon lost to St. Edward 84-70, it was their first loss of the season, they leave after just one week in the rankings.
