(6-27-18) Celina and Ohio State’s Seth Lonsway made his pitching debut with the Champion City Kings in Springfield, Ohio against the Chillicothe Paints  in The Prospects League,  after his recent stop in the Cape Cod League to start the season.

Lonsway started for the Kings going 2 2/3rd innings, he left in the 3rd with 2 outs and a 7-4 lead, reliever Jeff Medford entered the game with 2 runners on base and struck out Chillicothe’s Wyatt Belinda to end the inning.  On the night Lonsway gave up 4 runs (3 earned), 5 hits, struck out 1, walked 3 and hit a batter.

Another recent addition to the Kings roster is Wright State’s Damon Dues (SS). Dues is the son of Vandalia-Butler Baseball Coach and Coldwater native Trent Dues. On the night Dues was 1 for 1, with a SAC fly RBI and scored a run.

The game was suspended in the top of the 5th inning with the Kings leading 9-6 with two outs for the Paints after a thunder shower rolled thru Springfield, it was the first game of a scheduled double-header.
