(8-18-18) It was a good opening weekend for two former Celina football coaches last night.
In Arizona Mike Fell and his Mountain View Toros picked up a 49-14 win over Corona del Sol, while in North Carolina Jared Rolfes and the Page Pirates picked up a 35-28 come-from-behind win over Davie.

Pirates’ QB Javondre Paige wouldn’t let Page lose at home, when on fourth-and-11 at the Davie 22, he found no one open and ran instead, gaining 14 yards and picking up the 1st down. Two plays late he would score from 10 yards out as Page took the 35-28 lead with only 2:02 left and would hang on for the win..
Paige accounted for over 300 yard total offense with a 147 rushing yards and 166 passing yards.
Next week they are on the road at Northern Guilford, last night the Nighthawks beat Grimsley 20-15.

Soon to be inducted into the Ohio HS Football Hall of Fame, Mike Fell and his Toros would make halftime adjustments to out score Corona del Sol 28-0 in the second half for a 49-14 win.
The Toros travel to Gilbert next week to take on Perry, last night the Pumas lost to Pinnacle 59-33.
