(9-22-18) After a very tough week filled with all kinds of adversity, the Page (NC) Pirates and Coach Jared Rolfes (former Celina Coach) bounced back with a 45-0 win over Southern Guilford.

The Pirates were led by Cody King (WR) with TD runs of 60 and 50 yards and a TD catch from Javondre Paige (QB) of 53 yards.

The defense, who threw a shut-out at the Storm, had five sacks, two safeties and 30 yard returned interception by Antonio Herbin for a touchdown.

After the game Rolfes told greensboro.com:

“We were faced with a lot of adversity coming in with the forfeits and we wanted to recalibrate our focus this week. We rebounded from a tough couple of weeks and did a good job of executing tonight. We have to keep getting better moving forward.”

Next up for the Pirates is East Forsyth (5-0), the Eagles beat Grimsley 52-21 last night, they have scored 246 points for a 49 point average and allowing just 59 points on defense, including two shut-outs.
