(10-13-18) Minster swept the 2018 MAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

With the win the Minster boys picked up their 11 conference title and their second in a row, while the girls picked up their 31st championship and their 6th in a row.

BOYS Complete Race Results

Minster picked up the MAC boys title beating a strong 2nd place Parkway team 32-62.

Winning the individual title was Minster’s Alex Albers in a time of 16:48.91, right behind Albers was two Parkway Panthers, Matt Gaerke in 2nd and Kyle Roth in 3rd, Minster’s Luke Barga was 4th, Versailles’ Brooks Blakeley was 5th, followed by two more Wildcats Austin Felice and Jon Albers who were 6th and 7th.

GIRLS Complete Race Results

In the girls meet the Wildcats had no trouble outdistancing 2nd place Coldwater 19-80. Minster had their top 5 in the top 7, while 9 of them placed in the top 14.

Leading the way was All-Stater Emma Watcke who picked up the individual championship in a time of 18:56.91, Kaitlynn Albers was 2nd, Mackenzie Bohman 4th, Gwendolyn Meiring 5th and Madeline Magoto was in 7th place.

Ft. Recovery’s Chloe Will finished a strong 3rd, while Coldwater’s Haley Alig was 6th and Marion Loca’s Kelsey Broering was 9th.
