Coldwater Head Baseball Coach Brian Harlamert

Jacob Wenning is having a very good start to his senior year on the diamond. After an All-State Junior year, Jacob is playing very well in all phases of the game of baseball. He leads our team with a .471 batting average, 17 Rbi, second with 16 runs scored, second with 10 stolen bases. On the mound he is 5-1 with a loss in relief to the an undefeated and state’s #1 team in D4 Ft. Loramie. He does it in the field as well at Shortstop. He has made some ESPN top plays, with one in particular vs Ft. Recovery when he charges and bare hands a slow roller in the wet grass to get the 3rd out and save a run.

Jacob is rounding out his time at Coldwaterr after playing 3 sports for all 4 years. He is a national honor society member and one of the tops students in his class. He has some options after high school. Jacob has been a 3 year starter for us and continues to be a great player. He has personal and team goals that includes an MAC championship and a return to the State Finals in 2019 with a little different outcome.
