(7-4-19) Looking for a perfect way to start you season? You might want to watch Dave Christiano’s 2016 inspirational high school cross country movie, REMEMBER THE GOAL. With the upcoming high school cross country season fast approaching this movie is perfect for building team relationships and unity with coches and team members.

The basis for the film –  A young female coach (Allee-Sutton Hethcoat) fresh out of college takes over the cross country program at an all girls’ Christian school and attempts to lead them to their first ever state title. As the runners begin to train, the top five girls all deal separately with particular issues relevant to teen life. As each of these stories unfold, so does the wisdom of the young coach as she guides the girls along the pathway of life. This inspirational drama will bring a new meaning to the phrase “10:31”.

The cross country races and training scenes are quite realistic and well done. The strategy of the goal will provide you with talking points for coaches and runners alike. This movie has the potential to become another sports film much like ‘Hoosiers’, it features a coach who faces adversity with parents, star runners, school administration and the struggles actually facing teens in the modern day world. A very positive and uplifting film. What makes Remember The Goal special for you?  It features high school cross country…the film is a winner.
