LYNN, Ind. (11-18-19) – In their final game before opening up conference play, the Union City Lady Indians ran over Randolph Southern in their first road game of the season on Saturday…winning by a final score of 64-35.
Union City was a little slow out the gate, but quickly found their rhythm and simply outmatched the Lady Rebels on both sides of the ball.
UC head coach Sarah Black
“After a sluggish start we picked it up and were able to put up 25 in the first quarter. From there we settled in and were more comfortable. It was our first road game so it gave us a sense of that atmosphere. Everyone got some minutes and opportunities to play which is great for the long run!”
Leading the way for the Lady Indians in scoring was Skylie Lutz with 20 point, followed by Emily Livingston with 12 and Mariah Claywell with eight points, along with six assists and five steals steal in the win. Senior Madisyn Cox led the rebounding efforts with seven boards.
With the win, Union City moved to 3-1 on the season and will begin Tri-Eastern Conference play on Friday night as they face-off against Northeastern.
