(2-13-20) New Knoxville’s Girls Basketball Coach Tim Hegemier picked up his 229th win recently tying former Rangers’ boys basketball coach Roger Stauffer (1938-53) who held the that record since 1953.

New Knoxville remains as one of the smallest schools number wise, but a school that has played BIG in basketball over the years.

Last season the Rangers were 18-8 and lost in the District final game to eventual state champion Minster 45-27.

New Knoxville is presently 14-7 on the season and 4-4 in the MAC.

Winning runs in the Hegemier family, brother Dan, member of Ohio’s Coaches Basketball Hall of Fame, is presently the head coach of the St. Marys boys team.
