Bowler of the Year

(4-16-20) Coldwater’s Michael Schoenherr was named the Ebonite/OHSBCA Boys Northwest District Senior Bowler of the Year.

Schoenherr helped lead the Cavaliers to this year’s D II State Bowling Championship Team with a 10th overall individual finish and 2nd team All State honors.

The Northwest District Girls winner was Bryan’s Emma Meade.

The State Senior Bowlers of the Year are Bryce Oliver of Woodridge and Kirsten Moore of Tallmadge.

Each season, The Ohio High School Bowling Coaches Association Board of Directors recognizes one boy and one girl from the Central, Northwest, Northeast, and Southwest OHSAA Districts as the District Senior “Bowler of the Year”. Applicants for the East & Southeast Districts are considered in the pool of bowlers from the Central District.

In addition, one boy and one girl will be recognized as the Ohio High School State Senior Bowler of the Year. Each recipient of this award receives a plaque and a college scholarship administered through the USBC SMART Program. Scholarship funding comes from Ebonite ball & bag raffles conducted by Association Board Members throughout Ohio during the high school season.
