(7-6-20) Josh Leslie has been named the new boys basketball coach at Louisville (Ky) Seneca. The RedHawks finished 21-10 last season and will return seven of its top eight scorers
Leslie took over the Eastern girls program in 2012 and posted a 138-60 record over seven seasons. He spent last season as an assistant coach with the North Oldham boys program.
Leslie (48) coached boys basketball for 15 years in Ohio, including Springfield Catholic Central, St. Marys Memorial and Ottawa-Glandorf… before moving to Louisville.
In Ohio, Leslie coached at St. Marys for six seasons going 56-75, winning one Western Buckeye League Championship and a District title in 2005.. along with 20 wins on the season a school record.
At O-G he led the Titans (23-5) to a 2008 D III State title beating Sugarcreek Garaway 62-44. O-G appeared in 2 Regionals and 6 straight District appearances. He left after six seasons with a record of 109 wins and 35 losses.
At Springfield Catholic Central his team lost in the 1997 D IV state Semifinal game to Zanesville Rosecrans 46-39.
