(11-11-20) Western Buckeye League Player of the Year and Bath Wildcat Chandler Clark made it official today when she signed a letter of intent to continue her soccer career and education at Grand Valley State University.
According to a GVSU news release on today’s signing…Clark is an all-around athlete and will have 12 varsity letters when her high school career is said and done as a four-year starter at forward for soccer, point guard for basketball and shortstop in softball. She set the Bath High School career goals record with 117, including 45 in her junior season to rank third in the entire state of Ohio. That same year she was recognized with high school All-America honors by United Soccer Coaches. She’s twice won both conference and district player of the year and was named first team All-Ohio. Chandler was also an honorable mention all-state basketball honoree and earned conference all-star selections on the diamond.
Due to COVID 19 the Lakers did not compete in a fall schedule. The GVSU women’s soccer team finished its 2019 campaign as the NCAA D II National Champions with the 12th straight Elite Eight appearance and an overall record of 25-1. GVSU also claimed its 15th straight GLIAC regular season title and won the GLIAC Tournament for the 13th year in a row.
