(5-19-21) Tonight the Elida Local Schools Board of Education will look to approve current Perry Boys Head Basketball Coach Matt Tabler as the new Bulldogs head man.

Tabler leaves Perry after going 209-114, he was hired in 2007 and has been a teacher, head coach and assistant AD in the system.

This past season he picked up his 200th career win in January with a 79-51 victory over Hardin Northern, he led the Commodores to a Northwest Central Conference (NWCC) title going 8-0 and finishing they year with a 18-5 record.

Tabler replaces veteran Head Coach Denny Thompson, the long time Elida coach who was released by the school system in late April.
