(8-29-21) Kirtland picked up its 43rd consecutive win beating Lutheran West 47-0, the Hornet starters did not play in the 2nd half.
Ramon Lescano threw for 89 yards and a score, Mason Rus ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and Gage Sullivan caught three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown for Kirtland (2-0).
The Hornets outgained the Longhorns, 353-29.
With the win the Hornets improved to 71-1 against Chagrin Valley Conference opponents since 2010.
UP NEXT: Westinghouse Academy, (Pa.) beat Seton LaSalle 38-0 on Saturday in their first game of the season. Junior quarterback Keyshawn Morsillo threw for three touchdowns and ran for another.
Kirtland will go for win #44 taking on Pittsburgh City League member Westinghouse Academy. The Bulldogs have won back-to-back District 8 championships.
