(9-10-21) Holgate has decided to end its attempt to field an 8-man football team for the rest of the 2021 season.
In a press release from the school it was based on injuries and COVID 19. The Tigers had to cancel games 3 of the first four games of the season.
Holgate, who was one of the first area schools to move to 8-man football, is a member of the five team Northern 8 (football) Conference.
The Tigers played one game this season, it was during the 2nd week of the season losing to Danbury 40-0.
