(9-21-21) Kevin Eyink was formally approved Monday night by the Fort Recovery School Board of Education as the next Fort Recovery High School baseball coach.

Eyink is not new to the Indians baseball program,he has been an assistant coach for the past nine seasons. Eyink is employed as a physical education teacher at the elementary and middle school.

Ft. Recovery will be his 2nd head coaching job…in the past he coached at Indian Lake from 2009 to 2013.

Eyink replaces outgoing coach Jerry Kaup who ends his 11 year run at Ft. Recovery with a 43-45 record in Midwest Athletic Conference action. Kaup guided the Indians to back-to-back Division IV state berths in 2015 and 2016, and the program’s first ever MAC championship in 2018.

The coaching change comes the same season a new baseball facility will be used by the Indians.
