(9-25-21) There are numerous Stateline area outstanding football players performances during week five action, here are some that SSN has highlighted.

Winnebago – Michael Cunningham rushed for 162 yards, and catching one touchdown pass for 44 yards…had 6 1/2 tackles on defense, returned five kickoffs for 117 yards, and was 2-for-2 on extra-point kicks.

Riverton – Zach Hinds The senior quarterback finished 28-for-53 for 496 yards and seven TDs with two INTs …also ran for 94 yards and a TD vs. Athens

Hononegah – Stuart Hale rushed for 159 yards on 28 carries and added a 69-yard punt return for Hononegah’s only touchdown, finishing the night with seven punt returns for 120 yards vs. Boylan

Nazareth – Freshman QB Logan Malachuk 9-of-9 through the air for 215 yards and four touchdowns vs. Carmel

Hononegah – Bryce Goodwine his game winning 37-yard field goal with one second left, also made a 33- and 25-yard field goal…rushed 13 times for 40 yards, three catches for 14 yards and had three tackles on defense vs. Boylan

Rochester-Hank Beatty ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries and threw for 133 yards on 10 of 16 passing and passed for three touchdowns vs. Springfield

Athens- Ja’Kyan Shanklin senior running back rushed for a career-high 371 yards on 26 carries and six touchdowns vs. Riverton

El Paso-Gridley – Kamren Schumacher sophomore quarterback had 236 total yards of offense (144 rushing, 92 passing) and scored the tying touchdown with 43 seconds left in the game vs. Colfax Ridgeview/Lexington

Limestone – Frank Driscoll had 273 yards on 22 carries with four touchdowns vs. East Peoria (0-5, 0-3)

Kaneland – Troyer Carlson was 20 0f 29 for 255 yards with 4 TDs and ran for another TD vs. Woodstock North
