(11-26-21) Byron rolled to a convincing 35-7 win over Tolono Unity in Huskie Stadium to win the Illinois Class 3A State Football title. Chandler Binkley ran for 164 yards on 19 carries as the Tigers ended the night with 437 yards of total offense. Ethan Palzkill scored 3 TDs, 2 on the ground and one thru the air.

It is the Tigers 2nd state championship.

Byron Head Coach Jeff Boyer told shawlocal.com after the game:

“There are not a whole lot of words that can describe what transpired this postseason with this entire group. It’s been a great ride. 14-0 state champs, it feels good to say that.”
