Houseworth’s Complete Projection Index
D-I
After going across state lines and defeating the defending Indiana 4A state champion, there’s no question that Mount Notre Dame is the team to beat in D-I in Ohio. If there is a team who will challenge them, it will be any number of southwestern Ohio teams who had a stellar opening week including Princeton and Miamisburg.
D-II
With Laurel going 0-3, it is time to look at who should take over the top spot in D-II. The honor goes to the defending state champion Napoleon Wildcats, who are 3-0 to begin the season. There’s no shortage of parity at the top with Sheridan, Perry, Roger Bacon, and Bishop Hartley rounding out the top 5
D-III
Yes, Hiland lost to open the season. Their loss was also to the #4 team in D-I. Let’s see Liberty-Benton and O-G play a game before we move either of them into the top spot.
D-IV
Fort Loramie will have more competition this season than they did last season. Buckeye Central was absolutely dominant in their wins against Williard (58-29) and Ashland Crestview (63-16) to open the season. Time will tell which other teams will rise to the top, like Cincinnati Country Day or New Knoxville.
