(1-22-22) The 2022 ACAC swim and dive championships were held at Jay County. Two familiar results took place…the Bluffton boys team won their 8th consecutive title, while the Jay County girls picked up their 5th straight championship.

In the girls meet Jay County outdistanced Adams Central 367 to 312, while the Bluffton boys picked up the title beating 2nd place Adams Central 469-253.

For the 8th year in a row, the Bluffton Boys Swim & Dive team are Conference Champions. Things started hot when Austin Davis, Elija Robles, and Griffin Rodgers take 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in diving.

The Medley Relay of Dalton Rodgers, Caleb Geimer, Colin Magdich, and Gavin Yergler took 2nd by less than a second.

Bryson Mayer won the 200 Free with a personal best time.
Dalton Rodgers and Colin Magdich were the 1 2 punch in the IM.

Dylan King was 3rd in the 50 free with a personal best time.
Caleb Geimer won the 100 fly with a conference record breaking his previous record and going a new personal best time.

Dylan King was 4th in the 100 Free with a personal best time, and then set another personal best time in the lead off leg of the 400 Free Relay.

Bryson Mayer, Ashton Arnett (PB), and Ethan Hunt (PB) were 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 500.

The 200 Free Relay of Colin Magdich, Bryson Mayer, Dylan King, and Caleb Geimer were .02 seconds off of the Conference record to take 1st place.

Dalton Rodgers and Caleb Geimer finished 1st in backstroke and breaststroke respectively with personal best times.

The evening ended with the 400 relays of Dylan King, Gavin Yergler, Trey Craighead, and Bryson Mayer; and Ashton Arnett, Cole Arnett, Logan Shearer, and Dalton Rodgers were 2nd and 3rd.

Bluffton Scoring Leaders are:
Caleb Geimer and Bryson Mayer both with 46.5 points each
Dalton Rodgers 44.5 Colin Magdich, Dylan King, and Ashton Arnett scored 38.5, 37.5, and 36.5

For the Jay County girls, they won the 200 Medley and Free Relays (Morgan DeHoff, mara Bader, Emily Dues, Zion Beiswanger in the Medley and Elayna Para substituted for Dues in the Free Relay)
Mara Bader won the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke.

The “Tanker of the Week” for Jay County was Nick Lyons with a 13 second time drop in the 200 Free, nearly winning the event from a 5th seed. Kyle Sanders joined the 40 second club in the 100 Freestyle with a 49.95.
