1974 – Jordan And Muff Lead Northrop To A State Title

(2-20-22) Ask any high school basketball fan in Ft. Wayne who knows the history of some of the best teams to come out of the Summit Athletic Conference…most likely the 1974 Northrop Bruins will be on the top of their list.

The Bruins only loss of the season came in the third game of the season when they lost to South Bend Adams 59-56.

1974 would be a year to remember in Northrop basketball history…went 28-1, won their first ever Summit Athletic Conference title, would win the sectional, regional, Semi-State and finally a state championship beating Jeffersonville in the title game 59-56.

One class basketball…it is a big part of what made ‘Hoosier Hysteria‘ what it is today.
