(5-30-22) The final game for Jay County’s Baseball Coach Lea Selvey, after 34 years of coaching, happened today in the Sectionals when the Patriots lost to New Castle 6-2.
Selvey would end his career with 528 wins in 880 games, including 7 sectional titles, 3 regional titles and 6 conference championships.
His last win came in the Sectionals on Saturday (May 28) beating Yorktown 4-3.
His final win at his home field (Don E Selvey Field) and named to honor his dad was a 10-3 win over South Adams on May 23rd.
