(7-21-22) Yesterday in a tweet from @LoramieRedskins it was announced that they had replaced their third week (September 2nd) scheduled football game of the season with Covington. The Redskins will now play Spencerville, who had an open date. No other information was included in the announcement.

Yesterday in a posting in a buccsfootball.com story- Low Numbers. High Energy might have given an indication of the current situation.

According to the story a large number of players from last season decided to not participate in football. The article states that the Buccs as of yesterday had 21 players who will play. Just one returning starter from last season, Izaiah Sherman (Soph) and just one Senior Brian Morrison are on the team.

2nd year Covington Coach Austin Morgan was quoted in the story –

‘We can’t worry about the kids who arent here, because we can’t force them to play, Would we like to have more kids back? Sure. But we have to focus on the kids who are her.’

No other schedule changes have been announced. The Buccs, who are members of the Three Rivers Conference (TRC) are scheduled to kick-off the season on August 19th against St. Henry.

Last season in the inaugural year of the TRC the Buccs went 1-6 in conference play with their only win of the season over Bethel 26-21, they went 1-9 overall.
