Pictures from 1924-25 Hi-Li-Ke Celina High Yearbook

(7-26-22) 98 years ago in 1924 Celina High School completed its 2nd season of competing in football. The Bulldogs schedule that season included St. Marys, Versailles and Van Wert, they are also on the upcoming 2022 season schedule.

The Bulldogs, with a 16 man roster, were coached by Math teacher FD Swigart.

They opened the season with a loss to Lima Central, they would win their next game against Rockford. For Celina losing to St. Marys is something that started early in the series when the undefeated Roughriders beat the Bulldogs twice 7-0 and 28-0.

Looking ahead to 2023 Celina will be playing its 100th football season, a year to celebrate.
