WLIO Changing Of The Guard At The Sports Desk

(9-5-22) Earlier this week long-time WLIO sports anchor Jayson Geiser tweeted on Twitter that he was stepping away from the station to spend more time with his children.

No formal announcement has been posted by Hometown Stations on their web site or social media on the hiring of a new sports personality, David Cesefske. But Cesefske was at the sports desk this past week.

After SSN’s story was posted Matt Childers, former President of Childers Media Group and 93.1 The Fan sports personality, responded on Twitter (see above) to our story. Childers said the current status of the WLIO sports team now includes Cesefske.

Cesefske’s last sports job was at KFDA-TV in Amarillo, Texas –
