The follow-up email—

(10-29-22) In an attempt to clarify the process of the transfer of a top rated Sophomore Homestead QB to Carroll…an email from SSN to the IHSAA leadership and both schools administrators involved in the transfer was sent…to this point all we have heard are the crickets chirping in the background.
The story posted (below) on July 28th, shortly before the start of the high school football season, gives some of the details that led to the transfer –
SAC QB Transfer Will Raise Some Eyebrows
Carroll has benefited from this transfer this season, which led to an undefeated season and Summit Athletic Conference (SAC) title thanks in a big part to their transfer QB…who was just named as a SAC 1st team selection.
The Chargers have already won two 2022 IHSAA football playoff games beating Penn 35-7 and Warsaw 34-17…this coming Friday they will play Lafayette Jefferson in a Class 6A Regional Championship game. The winner advances to a Semi-State championship game and and will be one win away from playing in the State Championship game.

The above is just a guideline for those looking for answers. Complete IHSAA by-laws (page 92) on transfers.
Why have all of these transfer rules been put in place? To control transfers…but if it is this easy to transfer the IHSAA needs to eliminate those rules and open unlimited transfers. It would be fair to everyone…not just those who look for a ‘klink‘ in the rules.
