(11-23-22) The IHSAA Class 1A State Football Championship will be decided in a rematch of last season’s title game. In that game Indianapolis Lutheran finished a perfect season by overcoming a 14-point, first-half deficit to beat Adams Central, 34-28.

The two teams both have 14-0 records. Only one common opponent, during the regular season Adams Central beat Covenant Christian 42-19, while Indianapolis Lutheran beat them in the playoffs 56-0.
The Flying Jets had a close call in week 2 hanging on to beat Eastside 25-21, while the Saints in week 6 beat Indianapolis Scecina 28-19.
The Saints have won 29 consecutive games, which is one of the nation’s best.
