(12-10-22) Evansville Day School senior guard Tyler Myers on Friday night scored 36 points in the Eagles’ 74-38 win over Tell City. Myers passed Evansville Bosse graduate Mekhi Lairy to break the Evansville City career scoring record. Myers is now 21st on the all-time scoring list for high school boys basketball in Indiana with 2,244 points. Lairy dropped to 22nd on the all-time list.

As the season progresses Myers will move up the list, to make it to the top ten position, now held by Wisconsin star and Central Noble star Connor Essigian with 2,526 points, he will need 283 points. With 14 regular season games and at least 1 tournament game remaining he will need to average 18.9 points a game.

In his final 14 regular season games Evansville Day has scheduled that includes Illinois and Kentucky schools.
