(1-26-23) As we head into the final weeks of the high school basketball season in the Mercer County League several key games remain.

In girls basketball action Parkway will look to distance itself when they play Marion Local tonight. The Panthers enter tonight’s game with a perfect 3-0 record, with one other MCL game (St. Henry) remaining on the schedule…a loss for the Flyers (4-1) would give them the 2nd MCL loss of the season. Marion Local has a MCL game still left with Coldwater.

Parkway has never won the MCL, while Marion Local won the title last season…Parkway was 2nd behind them with just one loss.

The Marion Local boys, last season’s MCL champs, lead the way this year with a 5-0 record, Coldwater is just one game back at 5-1…the two teams will play on February 3rd. The Flyers will play Parkway this Friday night.

SSN’s Mercer County League
Why the MCL?

To add a little extra excitement to the high school basketball season SSN again will bring you the Mercer County League.

The first year SSN introduced the (mythical) MCL was in 2018-19.

All six Mercer County high schools are included, actual head to head match-ups between the schools that will determine a MCL champion in both boys and girls basketball.
