(5-16-23) The OHSAA Board of Directors voted to continue to have member schools pay dues again in the next school year.

The non-profit OHSAA continues to show that the ‘piggy bank‘ is in good shape financially. Year to date the financial report (below) shows a $4,231.80 net profit.

The board also held nominations and voted for a board president.

Franks is a 1990 graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School where she played volleyball. Franks competed on the women’s golf team at Alderson-Broaddus College where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Education. She continued her education and earned a master’s degree in Education from Marygrove College in 2002 and a master’s degree Educational Leadership from Salem University in 2014.

Franks began her professional career at Sandy Valley Local Schools as a middle level science teacher. Franks was active in coaching at the youth sports level that served many school districts and also coached at the junior high and high school levels. Franks took a middle level science teacher job in the Dover City School District in 2004 and then moved to Assistant Principal in 2014. Franks became the Director of Student Services at Dover City Schools in 2018.
