Large fight at Trotwood-Madison High School prompts call for backup

(8-2-23) Trotwood Police officers responded to a large fight at Trotwood-Madison High School shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1st. An estimated 300 students showed up for the night for the football celebration ‘Midnight Madness’ at 12:01 a.m., it’s the first official day the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) allows teams to practice.

When fights broke out Trotwood Police called for extra support to help to handle the situation.

Marlon Howard, assistant superintendent of Trotwood-Madison City Schools told WHIO TV

“We weren’t anticipating this type of crowd, especially the unsupervised young people. I don’t know if they were just looking for something to do but it’s kind of disappointing,”

Trotwood-Madison is a D III school and is in Region 12, the same as WBL members, Celina, Elida, Shawnee and Wapakoneta

The Rams are listed as independents in some media information, while the MaxPrep schedule lists them as a conference member of the Dayton City League.
