(8-19-23) A very light schedule to start the 2023 National High School Football consecutive game winning streaks watch.

Just four teams played in Week 1, with all four winning and extending their streaks.

Marion Local (Ohio) had to come back late in the 4th quarter to beat Wapakoneta 29-25 and win their 33rd consecutive game to start the season.

Also extending their streaks in week 1 were John Milledgeville Academy (Ga) who beat Brentwood 43-3 to extend their streak to 50, one game behind national leader Andale who has a 51 streak.

The Indians will start the season in 2 weeks at Wellington.

Indianapolis Lutheran beat Beech Grove 50-0 and Quince Orchard (Md) beat Blakesfield 11-0, both have streaks of 31 consecutive wins.

Week 1 – 2023

51-Andale (Kan.) will open the season on 9-1-23 at home vs. Wellington
50-John Milledge Academy (Milledgeville, Ga.) beat Brentwood 43-3
33-Marion Local (Maria Stein, Ohio) beat Wapakoneta 29-26 to open the season
31-Fall River (McArthur, Calif) opens season next week vs. Ferndale
31-Indianapolis Lutheran beat Beech Grove 50-0 to open the season
31-Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, Md) beat Loyola Blakesfield 11-0 to open season
30-Pellham (New Hampshire) opens the season on 9-1-23 vs. Manchester West
28-Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ) opens season on 9-1-23 vs. Morris Catholic
26-Bennington (Nebraska) opens season on 8-25-23 vs, Skutt Catholic
