(9-20-23) The Western Buckeye League (WBL) Girls Golf Tournament was held yesterday in Kenton. Celina and Defiance tied for the lowest score at 395, Celina picked up the Championship title on the tie-breaker with their fifth-player score of 114 by Kiera Hurley…Defiance’s 5th player shot a 119.

Celina was led by ‘Gold’ Medalist Maddie Fleck who shot an 18-hole 80.
Defiance was led by ‘Silver’ Medalist Ava Hesselschwardt who shot and 84 and ‘Bronze’ Medalist Kayle Harsha who shot a 96.
The top 3 players earned medalist honors, with designation of Gold, Silver and Bronze. The top 12 players were awarded 1st Team ALL-WBL; other players were designated as Honorable Mention All-WBL
