(12-3-23) IMPRESSIVE! This past weekend in Canton six of the seven OHSAA State Football Champions that won weer #1 seeds…the 7th team, Glenville (14-2), was a #2 seed.

- D I – Lakewood St. Edward (15-1)
- D II – Massillon Washington (16-0)
- D III – Toledo Central Catholic (16-0)
- D V – Perry – (16-0)
- D VI – Kirtland – (15-1)
- D VII – Marion Local (16-0)
Four of the #1 seeds finished the season undefeated with 16-0 records…the other two were 15-1.
Marion Local finishes the season with 48 consecutive wins which is #1 in the USA, while Toledo Central Catholic finished in the national standings with 31 consecutive wins.
Thumbs up to the OHSAA and Joe Eitel…the computer points system is the MVP of this year’s state football championships.
