(2-6-24) Marion Local and St. Henry girls basketball teams will have an opportunity to share this year’s SSN Mercer County League (MCL) title. Thursday night the Flyers will take on Coldwater, while St. Henry will play their last MCL game on February 15th against Parkway. If both win or both lose they will tie…if one wins and one loses that will give the MCL to just one champion.
On the boys side…a win by Coldwater over Marion Local this Friday night would give them the MCL title, a loss gives St. Henry a chance to pick up a piece of the title. The Redskins would need a win over Parkway on February 16th.
This week’s highlight…
With her 5 made 3’s against Van Wert last night Parkway (14-5) senior Paige Williamson broke the school record for 3’s made in a season, breaking her own record from 2021-22. She now has 65 made 3’s this season

BACKGROUND
SSN’s Mercer County League
Why the MCL?
To add a little extra excitement to the high school basketball season SSN again will bring you the Mercer County League.
The first year SSN introduced the (mythical) MCL was in 2018-19.
All six Mercer County high schools are included, actual head to head match-ups between the schools that will determine a MCL champion in both boys and girls basketball.
