Dr. Josh Werling

(2-13-24) Last night the St. Henry Schools Board of Education hired Josh Werling as the new head football coach.

Josh Werling (OL,DB, Strength Coach) is a St. Henry graduate and has been an assistant coach for the Redskins.

Werling is an optometrist at Mercer In-Sight Family Eye Care in Celina, according to the site

Dr. Joshua Werling was born and raised in St. Henry where he graduated from St. Henry High School in 2007. He then attended Ohio Dominican University for 3 years before being accepted early into The OSU College of Optometry. Dr. Werling graduated cum laude from OSU in 2014 and shortly after began his Optometry career at Mercer In-Sight, LLC.

He resides in St. Henry, OH with his wife Kelly and their two daughters Mya and Madelyn. In his free time he enjoys helping coach St. Henry Redskins football, helping with their athletic programs, and spending time with his family.

Werling replaces Brad Luthman who resigned in mid-November. The Redskins went 3-7 during the regular season and qualified for the playoffs. The Redskins would win their first two playoff games before losing to Ansonia 20-13 to end the season at 5-8.
