(4-9-24) As the school year winds down Liberty-Benton School administrators have not released any plans or update a future athletic conference home. Before the Superintendent change that took place, updates were provided to SSN…but that stopped when the new Superintendent took over.

The only movement toward finding a new league home comes when leagues are making member changes…like the Northwest Conference when they decided to add LCC and Ft. Loramie (football only) and by the Eagles.

Looking over the recent and past board minutes does not shed any light on the situation.

Freedom of information Act (FOIA) might be a way to secure information and details, but that won’t and shouldn’t happen. But it is still amazing that a public school would decide not to update district residents on what is taking place.

Assuming is what many are doing on the situation…that always leads to speculation and misinformation. How to eliminate that? Updates and statements from the school….the truth is always hard to change.
