Now Bath, who is a junior, will get his chance to be the starter this fall for the Knights.
The Brazil (Indiana) Times – Bath puts together strong summer in first action as starting quarterback
In a recent Brazil Times story Northview Coach Mark Raetz talked about Bath—
“He’s looked really good all summer,.He’s got good arm talent and although we didn’t really run him [in the scrimmages last week], he can do that. He’s the fastest kid in our school. We’ve tried to be smart with him, but when the time comes, we’re going to have him run. He’s also a great leader, so we’ve been really happy with what we’ve seen from him this summer.
We’re comfortable with him throwing the ball, so we’ll probably do that a little bit more, but we haven’t really changed our offense.”

Bath looks to continue the family’s heritage….his Grandpa Joe starred at QB at Celina (Ohio) and he graduated he went on to star at Franklin College.
His Dad Mike, presently on the Indiana State Coaching staff, was also a star Celina QB and led the Bulldogs to some of the best records in school history while posting large passing numbers, he would go on to play D I football at Miami (Ohio) and would be the starting QB.
Raetz said that Colton has had valuable football life experiences —
“Colton’s grown up around that type of stuff. His dad coached Josh Allen when he was at Wyoming, so he’s been around some really good players. Colton is the type of kid that takes coaching and is trying to learn everything he can. He doesn’t ever act like he knows it all.”
Bath will get his chance to shine on August 23rd when the Knights host Terre Haute North to open the 2024 season.
