(12-24-24) (tongue in cheek) The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Board of Directors at a special December 5th meeting during the football playoffs have decided how measures will now be passed in the future.
Any measure brought forward by the board will now automatically be approved unanimously to save time and effort of wasting time in discussing items during the meeting Members will not have to research any item and this will save them valuable time so that they can spend more time with their own athletic programs.
The move was made after it was discovered that no one could remember the last time that any Board Director had voted against any item.
Member schools were not asked for input on this plan.
Board members thanked Executive Director Doug Ute and his staff for their work on the elimination of voting on measures.
Of course this new way of approving items was passed unanimously.
The new ruling was used…an unanimous motion to adjourn the meeting came at 2:48 p.m.
