(2-16-25) The Celina Girls Bowling team pulled off another tournament win this weekend at the Tiger Tune Up at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl Saturday.

Game 1 started a little slow due to some weird carry and push down from the oil due to the end of the house being about 20 degrees warmer than the middle. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs had to deal with the heat all day, but they stayed hydrated and focused and took the lead after game 2 and never looked back.

Brynly Huber led the team with a 592 3 game series and was 3rd overall. Chloe Bruce was 4th overall with a 584 series and Ryann Eckhardt was 6th overall with a 540 series.

The last 6 weeks have been a grind with a tournament every weekend, but this team has embraced it and excelled pulling off an absolutely remarkable run winning 5 of the 6 tournaments and finishing runner up in the other. They truly have brought the boom this season, and I’m looking forward the start of the postseason this Thursday in Minster.

The Celina Boys Bowling team finished 3rd at the Tiger Tune Up Tournament. Led by Senior Quin Posada with High Game of 231and High Series of 600. Other High Games were Mason Posada 206, Lucas Gray 212 and Alaric Doner 223.

This was a redemption story. No one was satisfied on how the WBL tournament finished out so all week we made adjustments in practice to right those wrongs. These Bulldogs fought hard to finish 3rd at the Tune up. We discussed how we were going to use this tournament as a simulation for Sectionals, and if it would have been sectionals the boys would be advancing.
