(4-4-25) Austin Metcalf (17) a Junior at Frisco (Tx) Memorial was fatally stabbed by Karmelo Anthony (17) who attends Frisco Centennial during an altercation at a University Interscholastic League’s (UIL) District 11-5A championship track meet at the Frisco Independent School District’s Kuykendall Stadium on Wednesday.
Anthony was taken into custody and charged with murder. He is in jail on a $1 million bond.
One witness reportedly told police that Metcalf, had told the suspect, Anthony, that he would need to move out from under his team’s tent.

Anthony then said-
“Touch me and see what happens,”
Metcalf suffered a stab wound to the heart and died in the arms of his identical twin brother, Hunter.
His dad Jeff said this about his son–
“Austin was a leader. He led the football team. He was voted team MVP by his players and coaches,” he said. “He played inside. His brother plays outside. Football was his pride and joy. He was working on track and field to increase his speed.”
Metcalf had a 4.0 GPA and was the MVP of the school’s football team.
He had participated in both the boys shot put and discus events earlier in the day.
Track Meet Rescheduled
What’s next:
According to Frisco ISD, the UIL District 11-5A track meet was rescheduled for next week.
It will now be held at Little Elm High School on Monday.
