(6-23-25) According to the Celina and St. Henry football schedules on MaxPreps the two schools will kick-off the 2025 football season. The Bulldogs will travel south to play the Redskins on August 22nd.

It is the first time the two teams will square off on the gridiron.***.

For Celina it is their only non-conference game of the 2025 season, followed by 9 WBL games. St. Henry will follow-up week 1 with another non-conference game when they travel to Archbold.

Playoff implications…with the new playoff format St. Henry (would benefit the Redskins the most) with a win over Celina they can boost their chances for additional compute points. Celina is a D III school while St. Henry is a D VII school. From 16 qualifiers to 12 qualifiers…winning will once again be the focus for making the playoffs.

Below you will see that in St. Henry’s 1st varsity season (1971) they played the Celina’s JV on a Saturday night on a football field, that was also the baseball field for the Redskins.
