This ruling temporarily halts the enforcement of the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s rules that previously prohibited high school athletes from profiting from their NIL rights. The temporary restraining order will last 45 days or until another hearing is scheduled.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is expected to give an update on Tuesday regarding a potential scheduled emergency referendum vote from its 815 member schools on a bylaw that could change the OHSAA handbook language to allow high school athletes to benefit from NIL.
