(3-17-26) At tonight’s Southern Wells School Board meeting it was announced that the Raiders will remain in the ACAC and not be joining the Mid-Eastern Conference (MEC) at this time. Superintendent Trent Lehman said in a very shot statement…it would be ‘status quo‘ for the athletic department and there was no need for a board vote on the issue.
The main stumbling block seemed to be when Southern Wells wanted to remain in the ACAC…but also join the Mid-Eastern Conference. The ACAC told Southern Wells administrators that it was not acceptable to the member schools.
After Lehman’s statement… Southern Wells Board member Todd Fiechter stated that he had asked for information from the ACAC about their separate entity status but they have not returned any information or been in contact.
