(3-28-26) The Blue Jays are still celebrating their D VII Ohio Boys Basketball State title from last weekend … now the school will look over a recent offer to join the Northwest Conference.

Thank you for reaching out, as I am sure there are many inquiring minds. With the success of our Wrestling Program and Boys Basketball Team, we have been pouring our energy and passion into our student-athletes and enjoying a ride that sometimes only comes around once in a lifetime. Now that the Boys Basketball Season is over and we have had a chance to celebrate everything they have accomplished, we will begin to sit down and examine this offer, ultimately deciding as a Blue Jay Family what is best for St. John’s and our athletic future.
Taking a look at the Blue Jays history in the MAC…
1982-1983…Delphos St. John’s, who were previously a long-time member of the Western Buckeye, accepted a formal offer to join the Midwest Athletic Conference and began competition in the fall of 1982.

Recently another MAC member, Parkway, turned down the same offer to join the NWC. One of their reasons was travel times…it is just the opposite for St. John’s a move would benefit them. With gas prices peaking for now it would be a cost cutting move.
