
(4-11-26) According to an Outsidethehuddle.net story Jay County will announce at its next Board of Education meeting on April 13 the hiring of Donna Buckley as its next girls basketball head coach
Note: The board agenda for that meeting has not yet been posted on the Jay County Schools web site.
On March 16th Buckley resigned as the Noblesville girls head basketball coach. Buckley went 275-148 over 18 seasons with the Millers, with four sectional titles, including a state championship run in 2021-22 and a semistate runner-up finish in 2023-24.
Buckley statement when she announced she was stepping down-
“It was an honor to work with hundreds of incredible student-athletes, parents, coaches, custodial staff and community members. I poured my heart and soul into Noblesville and am very proud of what we were able to achieve. Buckley is a 1993 Clinton Central graduate …her career coaching record in 26 seasons is 371-222, including head coaching stops at Fort Wayne South Side and Greenfield-Central, where she won a 4A sectional title in 2003-04.

On March 17th Sherri McIntire stepped down as Jay County’s coach after three seasons. During her three seasons as head coach of the Patriots, she had a 48-24 record.
Her 1st season at Jay County went 22-3 record…winning the ACAC regular season title and the ACAC tournament title.
This year the Patriots went 16-8.
