(4-24-26) The Ft. Wayne High School football landscape looks to be scrambling to find solutions that might lead to some drastic changes in the Summit Athletic Conference (SAC).

Outside The Huddle on social media announced that Carroll and Concordia made public their desire to schedule other teams in place of each other for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. That means that both schools will need a Week 3 game in 2026 and a Week 8 game in 2027.

It looks like Carroll and Concordia will be ineligible to win the SAC championship and the Victory Bell if the change does take place.

Outside the Huddle has also learned that a similar arrangement could be imminent between Concordia and Homestead. The two teams are set to play Week 9 in 2026 and Week 7 in 2027.

Both Carroll and Homestead are the red-headed cousins in the SAC….they both only compete in the conference play in football and boys and girls basketball. The other sports at both schools play independent schedules.
