(4-23-17) Etiwanda’s (Calif) Steven Rivas is this week’s SSN National Baseball Player of the Week.
On Wednesday in a 23-3 win over Chino Hills, Rivas (Senior 6-1 / 180 OF, P) hit two three-run home runs, a bases-loaded double, a two-run triple, score four runs and finished with a school record 11 RBIs. He was just a ‘single’ short of hitting for the cycle.
To finish off the week on Friday again against Chino Hills, he had two doubles, one RBI and scored two runs in a 4-3 win. On the season Rivas is hitting .522 with 28 RBIs, 8 doubles, 3 triples and 5 HRS.
Rivas will continue his education and baseball career at Long Beach State.
